Foxy Brown has been sentenced to one year in jail on Friday by a New York City judge for violating of her probation.
The pregnant rap star whose real name Inga Marchand was reprimanded in state custody last month .
Marchand lied to police about her name and address during a traffic stop and for allegedly hitting a woman with a Blackberry.
Just before the hearing began Inga pleaded her case by saying:
“I’m willing to do whatever I need to do to change,” Brown told the judge. She said she had made a lot of mistakes. “I realize that’s not where I want to be. It’s humbled me in ways I never imagined.”
In response the judge told her:
“Ms. Marchand, it’s too little, too late. I’m glad you’re learning something; that’s a positive.”
The judge found she had failed her probation on too many grounds.
